We believe that a loving God created mankind and purposed to live in relationship with us. But, enticed by sin, we used the free choice God had given us to turn our backs on him. We naively left the springs of a garden to run after the mirage in a desert. This led to a world that is dry and thirsty, broken and flawed, far removed from the plan and purposes we were created for.
But our God, in his tireless love, refused to give up on us. He had a plan. He sent his only son Jesus to the world as the great hope for humanity. Jesus would be the way back to God. So he came into this world, and he showed us how to live. And then he paid the ultimate price. Jesus died on the cross as the payment for sin. And in this act, he reconnected us to God.
Jesus rose from the dead and now prepares a place in Heaven for all who would follow the rescue plan. The Holy Spirit of God now dwells in the earth pointing mankind to an eternity with their Father, if only they would come. And now, all who embrace this salvation plan and choose to follow God’s way for their lives, find peace in this life instead of despair and assurance in joyful eternity for the life to come.
